VOLUNTEERING - make a real difference!

Volunteers are the lifeblood of GRWE - we simply could not operate without the support of our generous and valued volunteers, all of whom play a central role in our rescue and rehoming work by donating their time, skills and energy to support the charity. Our roles give the opportunity to build new skills, meet new people and gain valuable experience while volunteering with the Animal Charity Team of the Year 2013!

National roles can be done from anywhere in the country. We are looking for passionate and motivated individuals (more important than experience!) and our volunteers are always supported by other experienced members of the GRWE team. If you are interested in these roles please email  ceo@grwe.com

Volunteer Support Officer. This post will produce a volunteer manual to support all GRWE volunteers in their vital roles for the charity.

National Communications Officer. We are looking for a volunteer to support GRWE's communications, including our e-newsletter and supporter magazine.

National Fundraising Officer. This role will help GRWE to raise more money to help more hounds!

Website Officer. If you have experience of managing websites and Google grants for SEO, we would love to hear from you!

Database Support Officer. This role will provide support in managing and maximising GRWE's database for our re-homing, fundraising and communications work.

PR officers - if you are interested in volunteering with our PR team, please email press@grwe.com. PR officers work with other volunteers in their region to promote GRWE's work, via press releases,  posters and other communication channels. The PR team represents the charity in the public eye.  Officers need to have good communication skills and follow a writing guide which helps literate PR novices produce work to a professional standard.  Motivated volunteers will receive full support from experienced team members.

Post-Homing Support Officers. This vital GRWE team of qualified behaviourists offer support to GRWE dogs and homes. We are currently looking for new members. Please email carol.baby@grwe.com for further information.
