Greyhound Art Exhibition

Cheshire (TBC)
This is a very exciting new event for the Cheshire and Surrounds team! It is still in the early planning stages but will run for 4-6 weeks during March/April 2009. A final location is still to be confirmed as we are currently in discussion with local galleries.
The event will consist of the exhibition itself, meet and greet sessions, competitions and hopefully a final sale auction.
So this is a call for ALL budding artists, wherever you are based and whatever type of art you do - we ask only that it can be related to a greyhound and lurcher theme!
If you would be interested in displaying and potentially selling your work through this exhibition and helping to raise awareness (and hopefully some funds) for our hounds, then please do get in touch. The exhibition will cover a diverse range of mediums, from paintings, sketches and photography to textiles and woodwork and even poetry. There will be something for everyone and hopefully a few good prizes up for grabs in the competitions!
We will post further details as the event plans are confirmed, but in the meantime, if you would like to get involved then please give us a call :-)

Honiton Agricultural Show

This is a lovely one day show that has grown over the years to become one of the largest 'one day' shows of its kind in the country. The show is held on a site of 140 acres, and represents a unique blend of traditional with the new in an agricultural setting where the emphasis is on agriculture and associated local activities first and foremost. It is a showcase for the best of local farming, crafts and rural skills. It draws exhibitors and visitors from all walks of life. Over 20,000 people attend the show and in the region of 1500 livestock entries are received. There are more than 350 trade exhibitors, which makes the show one of East Devon's biggest business events. GRWE will have a stand at the show so volunteers and well behaved dogs are required.
