Our Founder
Greyhound Rescue West of England was founded in 1991 by Angela Yardley who remains an active member of the GRWE team, both locally in the Hereford area and in representing the charity on national welfare committees.

Greyhound Rescue West Of England is a registered charity number 1131399 (England & Wales) and a company limited by guarantee number 06985367 (Enland & Wales). Our registered office is PO Box 4243, Radstock, BA3 3ZL.
GRWE is the leading organisation in England and Wales independent of the greyhound racing industry working specifically to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome abandoned or abused greyhounds and lurchers. The Charity has no employees and the Board of Trustees is responsible for the management of the Charity and for ensuring that the Charity works in pursuit of its stated charitable objectives - the rescue and rehabilitation of abused and abandoned greyhounds and lurchers. Trustee positions at GRWE are not remunerated.

Vacancies
As GRWE continues to grow, the Trustees are seeking to expand the current Board of Trustees.
We particularly welcome interest from the north-west of England (Cheshire, Lancashire areas) and from people with legal, marketing and veterinary experience.
